Brunches and experiences
Curated afternoons with food, real conversation and a room designed so that nobody is left standing on the edge of it. Pour into Her, our Mother’s Day brunch, is the one women ask about most.
MySistas gathers women in the Merrimack Valley to heal, grow and build each other up. Faith at the center, no performance required, and a seat already saved for you.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:20, KJVThree words on a banner, and a promise underneath them.
About MySistasMySistas exists to create a safe space for women of all ages to connect, share stories and grow together through faith, community, empowerment and personal growth. That sentence is on the sign at every table we set up, and it is the whole job.
Some women find us in the middle of the hardest year of their life. Some find us while they are building something and need a room that believes them. Both belong. We are rooted in Christian values, and every woman is welcomed here with love, respect and compassion, whatever she believes and wherever she started.
You belong here. That is not a slogan we printed. It is the thing we keep having to say out loud, because so many women arrive convinced it cannot be true of them.
This was never about having the perfect setup. It was about building community and reminding women they never have to walk through life’s transitions alone.
Kionelie Ortega, founder
Tell us where you are today and we will tell you where we would start you. No form, no email, no sales call.
The season you are inCarrying it well is not the same as it being light. You can walk in without a summary of your year, without an explanation, without being fine. Sit at the back if you want to. Nobody is going to ask you to perform.
Come and be still. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7
New city, new job, end of something, start of something. Starting over is lonely mostly because nobody around you saw the version of you that came before. Here you get to be the woman you are becoming, out loud, with people who will remember it with you.
A new month, a new beginning, and another chance to grow, heal, and trust God even more.
Kionelie Ortega, MySistas
The most common thing a woman says to us at her first gathering is that she nearly did not come. Come anyway. Tell us it is your first time when you arrive and someone will sit with you. You do not have to arrive with a friend to leave with one.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Matthew 18:20, KJV
Our Mother’s Day brunch is called Pour into Her for a reason. You spend the year filling everyone else. A few hours where the conversation is about you, where nobody needs anything from you, is not a luxury. It is maintenance.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
Proverbs 31:25
A business, a degree, a calling, a career change. Building is exposing. You need rooms where you can say the ambitious thing without it sounding arrogant, and the scared thing without it sounding like quitting. Our gatherings hold both.
Lord, bring us people who believe in the vision You’ve given us.
Kionelie Ortega, MySistas
Some seasons you pray and it feels like talking to the ceiling. You are welcome here in that season. We are rooted in Christian faith and we are not going to interrogate yours. Come, be prayed for, and let somebody else carry the words for a while.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28, KJV
Different rooms, one rule: a woman who walked in alone does not stand alone.

Curated afternoons with food, real conversation and a room designed so that nobody is left standing on the edge of it. Pour into Her, our Mother’s Day brunch, is the one women ask about most.
Smaller rooms. Less talking, more listening. You can come with something heavy and leave it with women who will keep carrying it in prayer after you go home.
Mental health, motherhood, money, faith, building a business. The hard subjects, said out loud, by women who have lived them rather than only studied them.
Five things every MySistas room is meant to carry.
What we are built onUplifting hearts through every season.
A safe space to connect and belong.
Grounded in God. Led by purpose.
Equipping women to grow and lead.
Changing lives. Building legacies.
Real rooms, real dates. This is a young organization and we would rather show you three true things than claim thirty.

Kionelie sat on a panel with Celeste Viciere, Nancy Araujo and Lucia Rondon, talking openly about mental health in a room of women who needed to hear it said out loud.
Merrimack Valley, MA
Every one of these started the same way: a date, a room, and a prayer that the right women would walk in.
No photograph sits beside this list on purpose. The images on this site are licensed stock and do not show MySistas rooms, so putting one next to three real dates would say something that is not true. Kionelie’s own photographs go here when they arrive.
All gatheringsWhatever you are carrying this week, you can hand a piece of it over.
Prayer requestsSend it and it gets read. It gets prayed over. It does not get posted, shared with the group, read aloud from a stage or used in anything public. If you would rather not sign your name, leave it blank.
You do not have to explain the whole story. One line is enough.
Start wherever you have the energy for today. None of them require the others.
Most of what we do is free. What is not free is priced to cover the room, and the number is always on the invitation before you commit to anything.
If cost is the only reason you are not coming, email us at info@mysistas.org and we will work it out quietly. That offer is real and it is used.

Straight answers, no fog. If your question is not here, email us and we will answer it.
Questions women actually askMySistas is a faith-centered women’s community based in the Merrimack Valley in Massachusetts. We gather women for brunches, workshops, prayer, panels and mixers so that no woman has to walk through a hard season by herself. The organization is led by founder Kionelie Ortega.
No. MySistas is rooted in Christian values and every woman is welcome, from every background, with love, respect and compassion. You will hear scripture and you will be prayed for if you want to be. Nobody will corner you, quiz you or ask you to sign anything.
It depends on the gathering. Prayer gatherings and community meetups are free. Experiences that include a venue and food, like the Pour into Her brunch, carry a ticket price that covers those costs. Every invitation states the cost plainly before you commit. If cost is the only reason you are not coming, email us at info@mysistas.org and we will work it out.
Around the Merrimack Valley and Greater Boston. Past gatherings have been held in Waltham and on Campagnone Common in Lawrence. Each invitation carries the full address, the time and parking notes.
Yes, and most women arrive that way. Tell us it is your first time when you get there and someone will sit with you. You do not have to bring a friend to leave with one.
Not to come to a gathering. Every gathering is open to any woman, member or not. The Sisterhood is the members' room on this site: community, resources, tools and courses. Sisters set their own monthly amount from $20, and the code KIONELIE opens the door free. The email list is separate and free, and you can leave it any time.
The email list goes out first, then Instagram and Facebook. Dates move and rooms fill, so the list is the only reliable way to hear early. Join it at any time from the email list page.
Real conversation, food, prayer if you want it, and time built for women to talk to each other rather than listen to a stage the whole time. Some gatherings have a panel or a speaker. All of them are built so that a woman who came in alone is not standing alone.

Join the list and you will hear about the next gathering before it is posted anywhere else.
