The woman behind the table
Kionelie OrtegaKionelie Ortega founded MySistas and leads it. She has sat on a mental health panel alongside Celeste Viciere, Nancy Araujo and Lucia Rondon. She has set up a MySistas table on Campagnone Common in Lawrence at the Juneteenth Arts and Awareness Festival. She has hosted a Mother’s Day brunch in Waltham built entirely around pouring back into women who spend the rest of the year pouring out.
She writes the encouragement that goes out to the sisterhood herself. It is not a newsletter template. It reads like a friend who prayed before she typed.
This was never about having the perfect setup. It was about building community and reminding women they never have to walk through life’s transitions alone.
