Gatherings

Brunches, prayer rooms, panels and mixers. Different rooms, one rule: a woman who walked in alone does not stand alone.

What to expect the first time

What to expect

You will not be put on the spot. Nobody hands you a microphone, asks you to introduce yourself to the room, or makes you share anything.

Say it is your first time. Tell whoever greets you at the door. Someone will walk you in and sit with you. That is the whole system and it works.

Come as you are. Some women dress up because it feels good. Nobody is checking. There is no dress code and no expectation.

Prayer is offered, never imposed. If you want to be prayed for, say so. If you do not, nothing happens and nobody comments.

Before you come

The questions women email us before their first gathering.

Before you come

It depends on the gathering. Prayer gatherings and community meetups are free. Experiences that include a venue and food, like the Pour into Her brunch, carry a ticket price that covers those costs. Every invitation states the cost plainly before you commit. If cost is the only reason you are not coming, email us at info@mysistas.org and we will work it out.

Around the Merrimack Valley and Greater Boston. Past gatherings have been held in Waltham and on Campagnone Common in Lawrence. Each invitation carries the full address, the time and parking notes.

Yes, and most women arrive that way. Tell us it is your first time when you get there and someone will sit with you. You do not have to bring a friend to leave with one.

Real conversation, food, prayer if you want it, and time built for women to talk to each other rather than listen to a stage the whole time. Some gatherings have a panel or a speaker. All of them are built so that a woman who came in alone is not standing alone.

Whatever you feel like yourself in. Some women dress up for the brunches because it feels good to. Nobody is checking.
